TMU Agriculture College excelled to greater heights

Two students selected for internship in Denmark, to get 54 lakh stipend, will become International Agricultural Experts

College of Agriculture Sciences, Teerthanker Mahaveer University feels proud of its two final year students, Vijay Vishwas and Vaibhav Singh who have been selected as interns in Denmark. During their tenure as interns, they will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 1.5 lakh as well. They will get a total of Rs. 54 lakh each during their whole internship period. “We are proud of our students”, said DSW Prof. M.P. Singh. Interestingly, the Agriculture College has a great track record of 90% in placements. The rest of the students either start their own ventures or go for higher studies. The whole credit goes to the well qualified and talented faculty of the college who are NET qualified and PhDs in their respective disciplines. Hon’ble Chancellor, TMU, Mr. Suresh Jain, GVC Mr. Manish Jain and MGB Mr. Akshat Jain congratulated Prof. M.P. Singh on this marvellous feat and said that the selection of our students as interns in Denmark proves that our College of Agriculture Sciences is following the norms established by ICAR. Hon’ble VC Prof. Raghuveer Singh said that College of Agriculture Sciences is accredited by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the one among only 10 private colleges/universities in the country.
DSW Prof. Singh said that this internship will serve as a grand opportunity for both of our students to learn advanced skills and new technologies that are being developed at international level. Denmark is considered as the most advanced European nation in the field of agriculture. Vijay Vishwas will be trained in poultry farming while Vaibhav Singh will be trained in dairy farming. These students will get accommodation from the local farmers along with the stipend of Rs. 1.5 lakh per month. The duration of the internship is 18 months. Both the students will open their own start-ups on returning back home. Prof. Singh pledged to send more students from TMU in such international internships in upcoming years. Registrar Dr. Aditya Sharma said that the COVID era has proved that agriculture sector is full of opportunities. The government is also devoted to increase the farmers’ income. Therefore, the course of B.Sc. Agriculture has great scope in the times to come.
